How
to Get Legal Assistance from the PAI
The
Pediatric Advocacy Initiative takes cases by referral
from our medical partners and through the Drop Box
located near the reception desk at Ypsilanti Family
Practice. If you or your child is a patient at Mott
Children's Hospital, Ypsilanti Health Center Pediatrics,
the Corner Health Center, or Washtenaw County Public
Health Maternal Infant Helath Program, ask your doctor
or social worker to refer you. Please be aware that
we have limited resources and are not able to take
every case that is referred to us. Often we are able
to refer the cases we can't accept to other free legal
service providers.
CONTACT US
Providers who
belong to one of our medical partner groups or other
agencies interested in information about medical-legal
collaboratives may contact our staff by email using
the links below.
Those seeking
legal representation must first get a referral from
one of our partner sites. To do this, you or your
child must be a patient there. If you are low income
and do not have a referral, you may be eligible
for legal assistance through your local legal aid
office. You can find the name and contact information
for that office on michiganlegalaid.org.
